The other day the question came up - can Sauron use Might to modify his One Ring save?
In previous incarnations of the game this wouldn't really be in question, but the Hobbit ruleset is much stricter about where Might may or may not be spent; the One Ring is neither mentioned nor mentions might specifically, and while Fate can be modified, the Ring is not strictly Fate.

Conversely, it's listed underneath 'Fate', after all, in contrast with rules like that of Malbeth the Seer or the Goblin King's, so based on that it might be legal?

Unfortunately it's not detailed in the FAQs either way...

Yes, you can use might to modify it, just like a Fate save.

It does give a speciffic list in the rule book of things fate can be used for in this new edittion and Sauron's ring is not in it though...
