Hello guys, I want to ask some questions for the rules of The Lord of the Rings SBG. 1) When Sauron loses his last wound and rolls a D6 can he use his Might if the result is 1? 2)When a warrior wears an Elven Cloak can he be targeted by arrows when i use the Volley Fire (not as the primary target)? 3)Can Gandalf use his Sorcerous Blast on an enemy warrior if Grima is behind of that warrior? If yes, will Grima suffer a Strength 3 hit? 4)If Gandalf uses his Sorcerous Blast to blast an enemy warrior into a battle between a Troll and an elf, the battle will be resolved with the elf on the ground and the Troll standing? |

I do not have all the answers here but for the first question: Judging by what the rulebook states, 'The One Ring' rule is Fate based and if you could use Might, Sauron would be pretty close to invincible. He has to roll a 2,3,4,5, and 6 on the off chance he rolls a 1 he dies, as it would be the only way to kill him. So to sum it up, no I do not believe Sauron may use Might to sustain himself if he rolls a one. |

1) sauron can use might to change the dice to 2 2) you can only target him if at least one model of your force can see him. And the elven cloak makes that no-one can see your model if it is partially hidden, and every enemy is at least 6 inch away. So if this all is true, then volley can't target this model 3) as far as I know, 2 times yes. 4) how I play it, the troll will not be knocked to the ground, but will get a strength 3 hit. |

If Sauron is down to his final wound, and the opponent strikes and lands multiple wounds on him, does Sauron do a Ring test only once for being killed, or does he have to Ring test for every other excessive wound landed? I would guess it's once only for being killed and excess wound strikes are discarded. If it worked like normal Fate, he would have to utilize a Fate point for each and every wound landed, right? |

Only once. You only roll for the ring when Sauron is removed. As he is on 1 wound, once one wound is suffered the ring activates as he is effectively removed. That is the downside to throwing lots of dice to wound at once. Do it warrior at a time and each time you score a wound he will have to take the test. Make sense? |

Thanks once again. Yet there shouldn't be a difference between a roll to wound one at a time and doing it all at the same time. It should be either each wound counts as a kill or the whole combat counts as one ordeal that kills Sauron only once. I hope that doesn't sound confusing. |

gandulf cannot use Sorcerer's Blast if there is a chance for a ally to be wounded by it. so that situation shoulden't come up in the frist place. |

Gandalf can blast into an evil warrior into a combat containing a friendly model because there is always a chance the evil warrior wont get blasted back far enough to hit the friendly model. The no shooting in combat rule only affects shooting (funnily enough), magic is a different kettle of fish. |

This is correct, magic and shooting are two different things, unless you can find in the rules where it says otherwise. |
