I picked up the hard copy Hobbit rule book the other day (it is very nice, wonderful pictures, especially all of the unreleased models). My question is, has anyone seen anything in the FAs about who can be in the White Council warband. In the new rulebook it states that you can have Galadreil, Elrond, Saruman, Gandalf, Radagast, Erestor, Celeborn, Glorfindel, Cirdan and Arwen. Yet in the Free Peoples book you can have Legolas and Thranduil as well. In other news I also just won an unopened box set of the white council. From what i understand thats quite hard to come by. I paid £30 which seems like a steal for such a powerful unit. |

Oh ya, that was a good set. They're pretty good even without Thranduil and Legolas. |

And fingers crossed I'll be getting goblin town for Christmas so I'll be able to include radagast as well. Just need to lay my hands on an armoured Celeborn and I think that will be a very potent set up. |

He was never mentioned in the background to be even remotely involved in the White Council. And apparently, neither was Thranduil (at least not directly) or he wouldn't have been feasting around lazily while the Council was preparing the attack on Dol Guldur. More practically, the Rulebook states that the sourcebooks remain 100% valid, so unless faq-ed at some point in the future, the Free Peoples White Council, Legolas et al. remains so as well. |
