My friend and I have been playing for a while, he uses a tight phalanx of elves. anyways he now says that if he's done moving and I move into combat with one of his warriors on the front line, not only will the warrior and his 2 support men be helping him, but also the elf warrior right next to him will be giving an attack, as well as those 2 elves supporting that guy. Is that right? because I'm not in base to base contact with that other elf Thanks in advance |

Nope, that is incorrect. Have to be in base contact to fight unless you have a spear. And you can only be supported by one spear armed model at a time. |

You do need to be careful with your move because if you to touch two of his front-line models then you will in fact be fighting both. But just because he has two friendly models in base contact with each other they are not both part of your fight (this isn't formation combat like in WotR). Also, if he is using Guards of the Galadrim Court I believe they have pikes and could support two deep. They are the only Elves I know of with that option. For all others they can only have Spear at best and support one on one. |
