Hey guys, just need a little bit of clarification, wild wargs do they get the caverly charge like warg riders? or at least get the same knock down bonus if not the +1 attack on the charge. and negate other caverly charges. any infomation appreciated. |

No they don't. Only with a rider. |

Imrail has it really. Do not think of Wargs as cavalry at all unless they have a rider. They are basically large foot troops, so they will also be knocked to the ground if charged by enemy cavalry. You might want to reduce the size of your avatar pic. If the mods see it kicking around at that size then they will remove it completely. |

Yes, wargs do not have cavalry charge rules neither do giant spiders etc. unless it specifically says so in their rules (like shelob's pounce) |

Really? I always thought Wild Wargs did get the charge bonus. |

Why would they? They aren't cavalry. |

Well, there isn't exactly much difference between a Warg charging at you and Warg with an Orc on top charging at you. |

True, but this would seriously over-power wargs and it would be hard to build an army of monsters as the wargs would cost more. |

Really? The Orc goading the warg and swing a sword are incidental? |

I know this is slightly pointless, but i think they should be given Charge Bonuses, because in the end, all the bonuses represent is the power of cavalry charges, and no offence, but the orc will make it heavier and therefore slower so it should really be LESS powerful. |

Perhaps, but I'm under the impression the the bonus attack and knock-down represent the weight and momentum of the model charging, not the skill of the rider. |

I´m for the wargs getting some kind of an attack bonus, when charging, Look at the size of that WHAMEL.... Perhaps a knock to the ground for sure, but not the +1 attack bonus... what so ever |

The rules don't give wargs cavalry bonus. Whether they should is another matter. |

hithero wrote: LMAO Wargs alone are not Cavalry. In the 6 years of this game they never have been, and in all likelihood never will be. Whether you agree with the rule is irrelevant. That is the rule. It has been debated more times than I care to remember, but at the end of the day it is what it is. By all means make up your own house rules. |

Of course; I was just explaining to you why I think they should. |

I said that because that's what I thought before I first read this thread. I wasn't trying to argue that the Wargs should get the charge bonuses. I was explaining why I thought it. |

I think the same though it's still debatable. they currently don't have cavalry bonus, but as whafrog mentioned whether they should or not is another thing. |

I played a game yesterday, and I encountered this problem: do cavalry get the bonuses for charging Wild Wargs? (and while we're on the subject, how about charging trolls?) |
