We played a game recetly and an interesting dilemma came out...

Lets say there are 3 orcs climbing the ladder, and the first one rolls a "1" on the climb chart, so he must fall down, but does he take others with him? Like "grabbing on to them" or something like that

THe question is

Will all fall down, or only the one who rolled "1" ?

And also another question, how does the "ladder pushing " work?

I suppose you mean if a warrior is beaten in a fight on the top of a siege ladder then. Here are the rules: if the warrior (or hero as the scenario suggests) is beaten in a fight when they are on a ladder, then you must roll a D6, on a 1, 2, or a 3 he loses his footing and falls to the ground suffering falling damage as usual. On a 4, 5, or a 6 he moves back 1" from the winner as usual (units making way do not need to make this roll when they are on the ladder). If a warrior is killed on the siege ladder or they lose their footing than every model below him on the siege ladder have to take the same test (so 1, 2, or 3 they fall as well etc.).

Pushing siege ladders: A warrior directly in front of a siege ladder can attempt to push it down (provided there is no one at the top of the ladder). Roll a D6 to represent him trying to push down the ladder. On a 1, 2, or 3 he fails on anything else, he succeeds. Note that these modifications have to be made to the roll: -1 from the roll if there is one models on the siege ladder, -2 if there are 2 or more models on the ladder, +1 if there are two or more models pushing the ladder and +1 if one of the pushers has a strength of 6 or greater. If the push is made all models on the ladder take falling damage and the ladder topples to the ground.

I hope this was helpful!

Oh my, sertainly did, but still one question is unanswered , On the Clinb test, if I roll 1 then the models falls down, and does the rest two orcs fall down as well when they are climbing below him, or do they have to take the test ?`
1-3 fall and 4-6 retain the poistion?

Otherwise though very helpful  :yay: :-D :D

Thank you

each warrior down the ladder below the falling one must take a test by rolling a die. on 1-3 he falls as well.

The problem here is that you don't need to roll a climb test if you are climbing a ladder, you only roll when you've lost a fight or another model higher up has fallen.

Really???? I though that the climb chart was solely for this....

But does it halve the movement when climbing a ladder?`or some kina penalty?

In the big book it dosen't say anything about halving your movement when climbing ladders though I could be wrong.

I'll check the book for you...

Small acces ladders don't have any penalty's.
Big siege ladders (like the ones from the uruk-hai siege set) neither.
As long as the base is not bigger then a infantry base.

For the further rulings, check page 60 in the big blue book.
If there are more questions, just ask ;)

You know the rules for walking?

From what I know there is no penalty for climbing up ladders, nor is there a need to roll on the climbing chart. Some terrain can be classed as 'clime-able', that is were you use the climb chart. 8)
