Hi,
After an absence of several years, I'm brushing the dust off my LOTR models and getting on with building some forces.

Quick question though, on the Dunedain rangers, I've seen a lot of comments about Independent Heroes. Where is this rule found as I can't find it in the kingdoms of men supplement.

Thanks.

Welcome back to the game!

The info you're looking for is near the top of page 6, and you'll find that symbol next to the RotN and Dunedain profiles.

You've picked a good time to start playing again.

Guessing by your username I'm going to guess that you live in Wales? If you are that'd be really cool, me and another member are looking for other locals to play with :)

Well spotted but sadly not lived in Wales for several years. Now in Bedfordshire. One day, I'll be back.

Yeah, looking forward to playing a bit more. Going to complete my Rohan force, then my Isengard. I like completing in pairs as I'm used to that from my historical wargaming background. In the future I'm going to work on a Grey Company as that is where my main interest lies paired with an Angmar force.

Knew I was close! If you're ever in Cardiff over the next few years, send me a message and we can meet up for a game or two :)

Welcome to the One Ring. And it's great to see people getting back into the LOTR game once again. Happy gaming!

Thanks for the responses. A trip down to Cardiff could be a real possibility.

On my Rohan force, I'm facing a problem. I'm only doing a 500pt force just so I can get it on the table and I know that I want one unnamed captain (Elfhelm) so I can convert a model to represent him. For another captain, I can't decide between Eomere or another unnamed captain.

Suggestions?

Erkenbrand is sort of a "must have" for Rohan. With him you can give RoR the stats they should have had, plus he gives everyone elf-like Courage.
