Post subject: | FIRST GAME! |
Just played my fist game and what a brilliant system this is. Simple yet not basic and with a genuine chance for strategy to come into play. I'm hooked. Anyway, just one question (for now) regarding climbing and combat. My opponent had a guy at the top of a 3 inch wall with handholds, I was at the bottom and charged him using my full 6" movement for difficult terrain and the rules for fighting in elevated positions. We fought a combat, I lost and fell, died. My question is should I have taken a climb test before charging up the wall and was I actually allowed to charge up a wall? Once again thanks to everybody who has helped me so far. |

Definitely yes! Unless of course your character was has a special rule saying otherwise. |

P.28 of the new rule book, no climb test need for climbing a ladder, just spend the requisite movement to reach the top. If you had not died but lost the fight then you could have fallen off the wall and then suffered 1 strength 3 hit for every inch more than the height of the figure. Siege ladder rules i slightly different, involving fighting across a barrier, if thats of any relevance. |

Glad you enjoyed the game - welcome to the family! Thanks Bilbo and Harfoot for helping out there with the rules. I don't have a copy of the latest rulebook yet. |
