Pick up Legions of Middle Earth if you have not done so already.

As far as army advice, your warriors are going to be a little on the pricey side, and as a result, it's likely you'll be outnumbered by your opponent. Keep your army together, and don't spread your forces so thin that they can't support one another. Uruks are an offensive army - you want to be moving forward and not playing (too) defensively. If you use crossbows, remember that they are move or shoot and cannot volley fire, so you have to plan ahead in order to maximize their effectiveness. Think about including scouts with bows...

Warg riders are nice to have since there is a chace that the mount will stay if the rider is killed - plus they're fast and you can use the warg's strength if you win a fight. With Berzerkers, remember they also carry a hand weapon, so you're not stuck using the 2 hander in every fight. Since your warriors aren't the cheapest toys on the shelf, don't be afraid to use the "shielding" rule to help keep them alive.

I've only just sat down with my first cup of coffee this morning, so that's all I can think of at the moment. Hope it helps a little.

I suggest this
1st warband
1 uruk catain
5 pikes
5 shields
2nd warband
Vrasku
8 crossbows
1 troll
Then with left over points ally in some magic or cavalry
and on no acount let your opponent get behind you. :saruman

If you are going to be playing regulary, I would pick up the fallen realms sourcebook as that has all the up to date profiles in. LoME is only good if your whole gaming community is happy using it, I wouldn't buy it personally. Bit of a waste for £17.50.

Thats a nice army, shame it is illegal (bow limit). But the premise is right. I would be more inclined to take:

Warband 1:
Captain w/ Heavy Armour + Shield
3 Uruks w/ Shield
8 Uruks w/ Pikes
Uruk Banner

Warband 2
Vrasku
6 Crossbows
Troll

No expert here, but that seems like very few models. I'd turn the Troll into more Uruks.

Me too, I think the troll will just be a waste of points. I would take some more core troops instead of him. :pippin:
