What is the courage stat on each figure's card for? I checked the rulebook and it only talks about courage tests. thanks

You roll 2 dice and add your courage, if the total is 10 or more you have passed the test.

That, quite frankly, is about it- the only other little note I would add are that, if it is a hero taking a test, then he/she may use might and will to influence the roll, adding +1 per point spent.
