Hi all. In the SBG legions of middle earth official army book, there are a few warriors who I have no idea who they are. In Grey Havens and Eregion there is the option of an Elf ranger at 11 points, yet I can't find their profile anywhere? In Lothlorien there is the option of a Galadhrim Pathwalker who again I can't find in any of the official source books? I know stats can't be posted but do these models even exist?
Thanks.

So far the Elf Rangers and Galadhrim Pathwalkers have not been released. When GW produced the Legions of Middle-earth book, it included models that were not part of the current range, but were planned to be released at a later time. Some of those have been released, while it appears that some of the others may not ever see the light of day.

Ah ok, thanks for replying:). I was sure that was the case. I was scrambling through the books trying to find them in the hope they would be a cool model to add spice to the elves. Troop wise they are dull, excluding Elf Sentinels but you HAVE to have some kind of Thraundril elves which sucks.

In one white dwarf a mirkwood army was released with rules for a 20points Elf Sentinel which could shoot twice. I take it those aren't "Legal" troops?:)

Unfortunately, they are not - at least not for Legions based games. Unless the profile says "In Legions of Middle Earth [unit] may be used in a [insert army list(s) here]", they're only good for friendly games.

As far as I know there was also mention of galadhrim catapults? Not surprised at all that they haven't made them because they don't seem like an 'elfy' weapon (let alone wood elf) but it would have been nice to have a few more elf models. Still, I think the galadhrim release has now enabled you to make a proper army from them now, so I won't complain too much.
It's the high elves who suffer most. All they have is just rank and file and a command, and they were the first ever LoTR models. It's a shame they haven't thought to expand that instead of decide to make random minis like new faramirs.

Thanks for the replies guys=)
I really am dissapointed with Legions of Middle Earth. Lothlorien can't have Stormcallers and you have to have a hero from an ally to use their troops. There is some models like the galadhrim catapults which would again be another cool addition. Don't put options in the official army rule book if they aren't available!
My rivendell army has to ally with another if it wants interesting troops. All they have is basic warriors.

Lothlorien can have Stormcallers. There is an updated Lothlorien list with troops and heroes on the GW website. You have to be registered to download it, but it was from White Dwarf and is official. IIRC, you log in, go to White Dwarf and look in the LoTR articles there for the Galadhrim Host. Oh, registration is free...

edit:

I do think that GW could support SBG through providing official rules for the unreleased profiles in LoME. I'm quite interested in seeing/using werewolves and black hearted trees among many others.

Yeah I have seen the issue. There is another article titled "Supplement reinforcements" which say a Stormcaller can be in Rivendell also along with the option for a hornblower for +1 courage at 20 points. It just doesn't say in LOME which is the bible according to some tournaments  Frustrating as I want some variety.
Indeed I agree GW should do more considering the Hobbit should start up some fresh interest. Werewolves and all the other models which could be released would be VERY cool

I believe the intent is for LoME. Although, the article does not specifically state "In Legions of Middle Earth games..." I believe the spirit of the reinforcements is for LoME. If you're worried about it being tournament legal, just check with the organizer(s) before the day of, or if you can't contact them, bring 2 lists - 1 with, 1 without the stormcaller.

Is it me or am I just having trouble finding that Lothlorien elf list on the GW website? I just got myself a fair amount of elves today from someone who was overdrawn on their bank account and would like to find that list.

The Lothlorien list is in the White Dwarf section of the website, not in the LotR section as you would first guess.
White Dwarf > LotR Archive > Gaming

Insane way to arrange content, I say... grumble grumble... some gobbos must have stolen the brains of their web guys.

same with "In Sauron's Sinister Service". :?

The current website is goofy. I can't stand it. For them, it's gotta be nice to have 1 site to update rather than multiple like the old format, but it's slow, clunky and no one I know is/was happy with it. I know when it was first rolled out in the stores, it was disaster. Customers were waiting for 5-10 minutes for a page to load. It's better now, but still...pffffft.
