as i am starting an Uruk scout army i was wondering if these are useful warriors and if so any tips on how to use them well.
also are there any places to get cheaper models that could quite easily pass off as dunlendings as the games workshop ones are so expensive.

Personally the Wild-Men are no different to having orcs in ones army except they make a nice change. There are stat differences I think, but no major ones.

As for huscarls, they are worth it. Not only do they make a nice change to the usual uruk armies you come across, they're also pretty hardy and the minis look great (if you use the GW Dunlending warrior ones).
