New here! :)

I haven't played LotR's since that magazine all those years ago.. So I'm pretty far behind!

I purchased myself the LoME book, it's the newer version with the mistakes corrected (I read the FAQ and lol'd a lot)

So my question is:

Which books are newer and therefore outdate the LoME book?

Nothing currently out-dates LoME. I'm not quite sure what the purpose of the question is.

The allying stuff is stil correct but some point values not with the new models but for that you can look for armybuilders.

Welcome Dezartfox, hope you enjoy the game :)

Everything makes LOME outdated, all sourcebooks and journey books were released after. Basically you'll want LOME and whatever source book you need for the army you're interested in.

If you don't have the big blue rulebook you'll want that too, or if you intend to build a goblin army, get the Mines of Moria set. It has a mini book with all the rules, but not very many profiles.
