Really excited about this project. Later on I will pick up some Last alliance boxes and Glorfindel.

Jealous. I've been wanting to start an Arnor army for a while, but I'm forcing myself to complete other projects first. :(

Very nice. Arvedui is such a useful fellow for such a theme. Any idea how you are planning on painting them?

Think that I will paint the Arnor warriors very dark, maybe black and greys. Don't know how I feel about the green.
But then again I don't know how I will paint the Warriors of Gondor. Don't want them too look to much alike.

Ordered two boxes of The Last Alliance (The ones including 24 miniatures), two blisters Warriors of Arnor, Elf command, Armoured Glordindel and two of the new sourcebooks (Kingdom of men and The free peoples). That give me a nice litte collection to start with. Can't wait to get started. Here is a complete list:

Elendil (Eärnur)
Armoured Glorfindel
Arvedui
Malbeth

Elf command
16 Elf Archers
16 Elf Warriors

16 Warriors of Gondor (Including banner)
6 Gondor Spearmen

Arnor command
12 Warriors of Arnor

8 Hobbit archers

Excellent start- should provide you with a little variety while still getting things going.

Thematically and "Lorewise" Arnor is probably my favorite faction. The relative lack of information (compared to say, Gondor) has always made it intriguing. My Arnor army has the following:
Arvedui
Malbeth
2x Captains of Arnor
2x Banner Bearers of Arnor
9x Dunedain
12x Hobbit Archers
24x Rangers of Arnor (1 box of RoME)
36x Warriors of Arnor

I have painted 12 of my warriors in the standard GW green theme, and I have 6 that I have themed as "Guards of Annuminas" with the green replaced with black, and a strip of Mithril Silver to add a slightly more ornate look. I've also thought about painting a few with a tan/brown scheme as "Levy of Cardolan" and a few in red as "Rhudarin Irregulars". Or something like that anyway, just some ideas I've been playing with :) Cardolan ceased to exist as sovereign state around TA 1409 when the last prince was killed fighting the Angmarim, and Rhudaur had essentially become a puppet state of Angmar even earlier. If you have access to any of the old ICE MERP modules (such as Rangers of the North, Hillmen of the Trollshaws, Lost Realm of Cardolan or even the combined Arnor supplement) there is a lot of interesting (albeit non-cannon) information that you can use for ideas.

Looks good :) any suggestions for a character who's stats would be suitable for Eärnur?

In a game I played, I used the profile for a King of Men to represent him. Seemed to work fairly well.

Earnur was noted as one of the greatest warriors of Gondor. Fv5 and 2 Attacks doesn't resound like that to me. I'd recommend Elendil, Isildur or Boromir.

Well all three of them have great stats. The problem I see with Elendil and Boromir is that Narsil is counted in the point cost and the horn on Boromir.

True on both. Isildur's profile looks to be the best then.

Some minor conversion work on some WoMT would make suitable Warriors of Arnor. Of course, with a Battle of Fornost theme you could have a small contingent of Arnorians backed up by Gondorians and Elves.

Just paint the seven stars and crown of the House of Elendil on their shields. It gives quite OK results (not with me, because my star-painting is total cr$p, but anyway).

I think you should either use a King of Men r a homemade profile. Using another hero's profile in SBG feels completely wrong (fine for WotR though).

Why does it work for one system but not the other? Anyway, if Gharnukk's opponents are fine with a house rule-d profile then go for it. A King of Men is far too lowly for Earnur though.

Well, the best thing would be if Eärnur had a profile. Wich he don't.
But I think that my oppenents would agree more to me using another
characters stats than me making it up. I have started to assembly and
spay the hobbits and Warriors of Gondor (Númenor). Bought Arathorn
and Halbarad yesterday :)
