Since Berzerkers and Khazad Guard come with a Two Handed Weapon by default, does that mean they are forced to use it no matter what? or can they switch to a hand weapon despite it not being represented in their profile.

I think they every model has a hand weapon unless specifically stated otherwise, that's what it's like with my clansmen anyway :)

Alex is correct, all models count as being armed with a hand-weapon unless specifically stated otherwise.

Yes you can. Not sure why you would tho, hard enough to win without having to take a -1 penalty.

In all the playing I've since i got back into the game I always stick to hand weapon fighting with my Uruk Berserkers. (-1) to the duel roll seems like such a huge negative. (-1) to fight i could understand but to the roll? that way as well you can have those multi-attack guys backed up by spears/pikes to really whoop the other meatshields I feel.

The key to effective use of 2H weapons is to have them paired up with one or two other models with regular weapons to win the Fight. Then the 2H for the kill. If you find yourself 1v1 then yes, you should usually swing with you 1H option.

An uruk berserker infront of 2 pikes using it's 2 handed weapon would work.

Unless the rules have changed (could be...) you can support a model using a 2hw. So spears or Pikes cannot support

The rules have changed. I agree with Beowulf, you guys should see what a Moria Prowler with a Two hander does when he is trapping a model :)
