Hi everyone,

Right now I am working on a building a high elf army. I am going to be using mainly rivendell troops as I really like the theme, but I am thinking about allying in some galadhrim cavalry. So my question is: can I just upgrade one of my cavalry to a captain and use him as a hero, or do I need to field a named hero in order to ally galadhrim?

any old hero will do. So yes your captain can lead your galadhrim as an ally :)

Unfortunately none of the mid-range elf heroes can take a horse, so you can't have a mounted Galadhrim captain. It's a weird oversight...

You can still use a normal Galadhrim captain to ally with of course.

No mounted galadhrim captains? Awwwww.

Well its ok I will just ally in Galadriel for a galadhrim hero, I need a good spellcaster anyway. Thanks for the help!
