No, that doesn't matter, only thranduil is better.
The elves are better then man though.

They all have the same shoot value, if thats what you mean. Of course Wood Elves have no armour, Galadhrim have normal armour and High Elves have heavy armour, so you might want to take that into account as well.

Yeah, now I think of it, my post is a bit.. unclear.

But you are right, you have to keep the armour etc. in mind.

Also look at the costs though and what else you can get. The Wood Elves are the cheapest of the lot, so you can get a few more per army which means a couple more archers at the 33%. Additionally though, Wood Elves can come with Throwing Daggers. Though this doesn't really help their archers go a head and give all your melee forces these. Now you're at basically 100% ranged capacity. Yeah, 66% of that can only shoot 6" but you can do so while full moving and it's still better than not having it.

Of course, that soft D3 is something to get used to. You can't play them like Rivendell forces, or even Galadrhim.
