Personally, I can't see Greek style warriors having any place in Middle-earth, but I thought I'd post this link to Immortal Miniatures http://www.immortalminiatures.com/plastichoplites.html

the sculpting on those looks amazing. if i got them though i would try painting the shield designs. i don't really like decals..

I also got to see these at Salute too. They are cracking miniatures but, alas, I can't think of a use for them in LotR. I may just buy some at a later date for the sheer fun of it - 32 per box, 10 boxes, £160, hmm, I wonder if there'd be a bulk discount? The suggestion above of 300 of the blighters would be an interesting project.

yup...pretty much how it would go down lol....hmmm...actualy...bear in mind this would take alot of conversions...but they MIGHT...pass off as elves..but would take alot of conversions. but could look very cool.

Gorgeous mini's.

Actually... they'd be kinda fun for Easterlings. The 'Phalanx' theme and shield/spear is strongly associated with GW's interpretation of the Rhunish Elite warriors.
