It's odd though that GW chose to use a picture of Lobelia in their new WotR rulebook, yet you can't buy it.

Why is everyone so concerned with Lobelia? She certainly isn't of much use in the game... do this many people really collect EVERY mini out there?

Honestly, I don't really care about one Hobbit hero. I'm not a fan of Hobbits and Lobelia didn't really seem that useful anyway.

You're right, she isn't of much use, I really don't know why I want her so much...

Keep in mind that not everyone plays the game. No-one would buy lobelia for her usefulness in game, but just to be able to have and paint a rare lotr mini, e.g. I really want metal mordor orcs, you might say "Why not buy plastics? They're the same points value and they're cheaper to buy." I want these models because they are fast becoming rare, and no - I don't play the game.

Yeah, I think that I want her so much is because she's rare, and I want everything that's rare :-D

You don't? I thought you were painting a Mordor WotR army...

Scenario play...

She's listed as a historical participant in Scouring of the Shire scenarios.

In my experience of GW, they will eventually rerelease Lobelia as a pack with some other hobbits.
Would be nice to see the characters available in a box with some Halfling militia so that you can gradually get more halflings.

As for why, scenario play. I have no current intention of playing WOTR because it seems to much like warhammer fantasy with LOTR miniatures. I play lotr for the character of the game, I think WOTR may help it lose it's character.

I would like to see them release a pack with Lobelia, Lotho and Otho Sackville-Baggins.

That would be incredibly cool, even as a direct only pack (considering it isn't in a lot of people's best interests).

Read her rules...she is actually very useful and nearly a must for a hobbit army. Furious Tirade, highest Courage of any hobbit (same as Bilbo and Frodo) and 3 Will points all for 10 points...yeah she is a must.

Dave, since you are the master of conversions, do you have any tips of how I could convert something into Lobelia? :)

Sadly no...all my female hobbits came from the Lobelia model. :(
