Don't actually have a project I need them for, but apparently Hoard O'Bits bought a list with my name on it and I'm curious whether they're reliable or mere spam.

Not exactly sure what you mean by that, but I've bought loads of bits from them(through eBay) and they've been great.

They got my email without my ever hearing about them. And it didn't come in as spam. There's only one way I know of where that's possible.
I'm not complaining: Sometimes (as, evidently, here) you find out about some pretty good stuff that way. I'm just a bit leery of it until I know that the place is safe to deal with.
