hey guys,

so I've been working on this project for the past few years and I'm getting ready to finally launch!

since I've been painting and collecting I've noticed that a system to properly display miniatures does not exist. so that's what this is all about, a modular display system for miniature figures, each display unit has a recessed form to hold the base of your miniature, the pieces stack and rest next to each other for whatever configuration you need. it also has a way to incorporate dioramas in the system

feel free to provide any feedback

here is a link to my website, it's a sneak peek, I hope to launch in february via kickstarter

we also have a facebook page too if you're interested

oh yeah I should have added an overview here
these are figures from my personal collection using the prototypes i've 3d printed (so note that the final finish will be much cleaner.) the website and kickstarter campaign have blank generic figures so I don't run into licensing/copyright infringement issues

you can configure your display anyway you want

there are recesses so the base of your miniature is flush with the surface of the display

options include combining different sized bases

create dioramas and include them in the display

I'm still working out the final details, so I can't comment right now on final price/shipping, but I'll definitely have some early bird specials to buy in cheaper.

let me know what you guys think

well the size is based on being able to fit multiple size bases within the footprint of each module, I've designed it to be able to hold 25MM 30MM 32MM 40MM 50MM 60MM and oval 91MM.

as for mounting them on a wall, I'm not quite sure what you mean, like a shadow box?. Each module would fit nicely on a shallow wall mounted shelf, it can expand vertically or horizontally depending on how many pieces you want to display

Not sure I can contribute unfortunately, but this is really cool I and wish you success. Will you seek an alternative source if the KS doesn't work out? This seems like an idea that would interest chessex or some other game aid company.

I quite like this idea, will there be the option for leveled displays instead of the stepped ones shown? It would be quite nice to do them as a real display also, like the elf in your example.
