You might notice at the bottom of the website it has the PS3 logo?

When I looked, it wasn't there, but I'd imagine anything you can play on PS2 can be played on PS3, so it is still made for older consoles, strangely.

Yea, earlier PlayStation games work with newer versions. For example, I can play Harry Potter for PS1 on my PS2.

...too bad it's not for Xbox 360 :(

Can't say I agree with you there, I'm quite glad its' not coming out for the 360; I'd inevitably think "Oh it might be OK" and then buy it before realising how much money I'd wasted. I bet the achievements would be easy though.

Looks like it could be fun. The only system I own that it's being released on is a DS, and often DS versions leave something to be desired (sometimes handheld versions seem like an afterthought to the Wii/PS/Xbox versions), but I'll keep my eyes open and see how it turns out.

Didn't think it looked good the first time I heard about it last year, don't think it looks good now. The Lord of the Rings is one of the most amazing works of fiction ever created, and it pwns most other novels or films. It deserves to have amazing video games created from it, and besides LotRO, no game has lived up to that potential. I have almost all the LotR video games, and they mostly seem like quick cheap ways of getting some easy cash out of LotR fans. LotRO, as mentioned, is the exception, but when you've got a 360, playing an online game on your computer for a high fee is just redundant and expensive.

Will I get this game? Chances are, eventually. Will I like it? Probably not. Then why get it Jamros? Because its LotR! :) The plot I outlined above works! I'm probably going to wait until the price drops a lot, then buy it used.

This game looks pretty cool, sort of like a cartoon version of LOTR looking at the screenshots at google.
However, none of the retail games site have info on this (gameplay, gamespot hmv etc)....
It's not been cancelled has it?

Oh yeah, hey guys, if anyone is interested, Aragorn's Quest was released in North America on the same day as Halo Reach, September 14th. It was released today in Australia, October 6th. It'll be out on the 29th in Europe. Just a reminder, its being released on the Wii, DS, PS2, PS3, and PSP (no love for Microsoft; no PC or 360 versions).

I recant what I said earlier: I'm not wasting my money on this game. Its just not justifiable, it doesn't look good at all, and I'm tired of purchasing sub par products just because it says "Lord of the Rings" on the cover! :)
