A new chapter has begun with the completion of my LOTR armies so I'll be keeping track of everything non-LOTR here.

First up a quick run through of my projects as they stand:

Secrets Of The Third Reich
These are all painted I'm just anti-shine varnishing them all at the moment, here are the ones which are done:

Sedition Wars
I've started to put our Biohazard set together now and they are lovely miniatures. I'll be using these as a Corporation force in Warpath and hopefully actually in Sedition Wars if the rules get sorted out:

All things Mantic
I have to admit I'm totally sold on Mantic, love their games, love their miniatures and love their attitude. We've been to all but one of their open days and they're genuinely great chaps with some good ideas, we're currently pledging in the Deadzone Kickstarter so they'll appear here in due time however for now:

and finally.... Doctor Who
I have a massive love of Doctor Who since my childhood and I avidly collect all the DVDs as they come out so naturally I ended up with these. This box weighs a ton and is jam packed with classic Doctor Who miniatures, I need about the same again to complete my collection! Nu-Who is being catered for by Crooked Dice and I need to send and order to Heresy for some final bits for that:

That's it for now and I'll be posting my progress up here on these projects as it happens. Amy also has a Mantic Elf army to go at next but I'm trying to convince her to create her own account here but if not they'll appear here to.

Very nice selection - starting with SoTTR (one of those Weird War 2 games) - nice minis, and very well painted. I always start hearing Indiana Jones themes tun in my head when I look at any of this stuff.
Sedition Wars - I have a mountain of that too (nows there's a surprise). The Lights Out stuff really does glow in the dark - I keep meaning to take some pics of that.
Kings of War - I have none of the minis but would love to engineer a ruleset for Middle-earth that would use the LotR minis but in a better mass combat game - KOW is faster flowing than the GW equivalents.
Warpath - nice. Another fast flowing game.
Doctor Who: now who couldn't like that? And I include all those people hiding behind their sofa... :)

Cheers chaps,

@Dorh I hve sort of the same feeling with SOTR, also brings the Hellsing animes to mind. I didn't go for the Lights Out stuff as I knew the long term use of these miniatures would probably be in Warpath. Our small group actually used a tweaked version of the KOW rules to play LOTR, most of the differences come in the army lists with just a couple of additions made to the rules. Even though warpath is still in beta I love it, currently I play with a Therian army from AT-43 as Enforcers. As for Doctor who... enough said ;)

Here are my test miniatures for the Enforcers, I wanted something simple that would be quick to get onto the table and I think this will do nicely:

Here's the next two Enforcers which complete this little bunch:

I am still mulling paintscheme for the Enforcers. I dont want them to look like Imperial Stormtroopers. The Mantic scheme is ok but I am trying for something a bit better or unique. I want palpable menace on the tabletop.
I am looking at images from Mass Effect, Halo and other sci-fi games and films but then what looks good on a full size human in certain movie light can be hard to mimic in 28-30mm and flat domestic lighting.

I looked at Mass Effect too but ended up using Warmachines armour colouring from Iron Man (well thereabouts).

I finished of a couple more team boxes now so here's the result:

Then one 'in action' shot:

I also finally caved in yesterday and ordered some Veer-myn due to them being heavily discounted so I'll be progressing on to them after finishing the Enforcers.

Well I've finished up the Enforcers now, I've really enjoyed painting them and can't wait to get the next batch through the Deadzone KS, next on the modelling block are the newly arrived Veer-myn which got washed yesterday.

Nice individual units but as ever, it's when you see them all together that the air of menace really kicks in.
Now what we need are some big walkers, and heavy armour to hand out the pain wholesale. I am holding off until the DZ Enforcers come through as I think they are a little bit more refined and hardcore than the current crop (which are good).

Thanks Dorth, yup the DZ miniatures will definitely be a step up from these though I couldn't resist and they are still very nice miniatures.

Well I was going to start on my newly acquired Veer-myn next however after watching the 'how to paint' videos from Ali I decided to make a start on my Sedition Wars miniatures (finally). For the trooper I used some, though not all, of the techniques that were outlined in the videos which vary from my usual way of painting but I'm please with the results. It does take much longer to paint than I'm used to however as there isn't a mountain of miniatures (more of a hill really) I don't mind:

Image
Image

I also painted up three faces using the videos as reference and was really pleased with the results but you'll have to wait for them :)
Next up I painted one of the Strain however this time I painted in my usual style using layers of dry brushing and washes but I'm very happy how he turned out, I was going for more of a Mass Effect Husk type paint scheme rather than the usual zombie rotting flesh:

As always comments and criticism very welcome.

Phil

I have assembled some of the minis but that is as far as I have got. And I have two hills (double box set plus Lights Out blah blah blah... :) )

Well I thought I better make some impact on the pile with more minis coming in a month or so!

Well I've finished the first batch of Sedition Wars miniatures now, they probably took two weeks to do all told and I think they've come out rather well. Next up I'll be painting up some Old Crow tanks to go with these.

And here I am having made no progress on the SW front whatsoever (hardly any spare time). The unit looks great!
