Yyyyyyyak too spidery for my liking . ugh making me itch. Are you going to add anything to the model like you did with the anklyosaurus? |

Nope, it's staying like that. There will be giant ants and spiders and preying mantids too, as well as aliens, blobs, and other b-grade movie bad guys. |

Here is a film that might just make some interesting watching for you - I saw this many years ago when I was quite young and the period and scenario are very reminiscent of what you are creating for the game: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0047573/ |

Thanks Dorth, it's one of my favourite films and forms the core of this whole idea. It was the best of the 'bug' movies and has an interesting sub-text (protecting the family). Plus the actors take it all so seriously. "Them!" and "Invaders from Mars" are the two primary sources of inspiration, but of course "War of the Worlds", "The Day the Earth Stood Still", "It Came from Outer Space", "Tarantula", "The Blob", "The Black Scorpion", "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" and a few others all help set the scene. Mid-west towns, abandoned mines, gas stations, bowling alleys, drive in theatres, mutated insects, alien invaders - all good stuff. |

You knew I hated scorpions didn't you... As in... Terribly afraid of them. I'm going to have to check my shoes now in case any have crawled in... -shivers- horrible things.. You evil, evil Dark Lord... -ahem- Ignoring that, I'm liking the development of your crossover plans Dagorlad. Out of interest, are you a fan of the Fallout video game series? |

Sounds fun. I grew up watching all those (and Godzilla of course!) on Creature Feature, broadcast on UHF every Saturday afternoon. Them, Tarantula, Giant Gilla Monster, Empire of the Ants, The Spider...all good films (in that special way). Throw in the original Blob (cheezy title song required). |

Fallout 3 is brilliant. I have played that game for hundreds of hours - I guess my world would be set a few months before the missiles started falling, so the cities are still intact and the National Guard still have crisply starched uniforms and polished helmets. |

Alan 'Harryhausen' strikes again! Is this something you are doing on your own or is it for some company? |

It's an idea I am developing in conjunction with a friend and is not for any other game company. I will (hopefully) produce the rulebooks myself and have begun to plan out the miniatures I want to produce. I know a number of talented sculptors who are interested in helping and I can get the minis cast here in Australia. So I think it might start the basis of my own game company - fingers crossed. I have a number of other game ideas I want to develop as well, so there's a vague plan for the future. |

Your own Gaming company - that sounds great. I hope it works out for you. |

I really like the whole atomic sunset name and idea. Although I think you should put the scorpion on a base, otherwise it just looks like a toy thrown next to a model. |

How are you laying out the rulebooks for production? I am trying to finally publish my Battle Companies supplement, but I need help getting it from plain text documents to a nicely done .pdf with images. By the way, your scorpion looks incredibly life-like! |

Excellent idea, thanks Mr Fingersss, that's exactly what it needs. @Erunion, I am doing it myself using Adobe's InDesign - a professional quality desktop publishing tool. PM me if you want some help. |
