    if there was a little smile it might be funny ..  i need one more for a contest. I am feeling quite insecure about my drawings lately.. ( i shouldn't hurry so much.. take more time maybe..)So just wanted know what u guys think. Be fair - i won't die from bad comments.

Yes i am allowed to do that. But i am not sure if i will do it. I feel like they are suitable for computer colouring (but i need them on thick paper). Cartoons are mostly black-white. So i am not sure about colouring them. I still should have plenty of time to sent them in tough. So i can still think about it. |

Yeah, black and white is very effective for cartoons such as the Bunny Suicides series (do you have that in Belgium?) but colour is something you can consider. I mean if you try it on the computer and it looks better you could send it in, if not then you can just scrap it. Ofcourse I am not forcing you, it was just something to consider.

Yes why not. U can sent up to 5 entries. U make ur entry on thick paper A-4 sized. There are prizes. (Highest about 700 euro i think). Ah i just see there is an english rule version to. So if u want u can join in to. http://www.curieusdegeus.be/cartoonale.php?j=2011 U can post ur cartoons here then  Dunno if u like to draw. Ohterwise show something i like to see drawings.

ah bummer, i would say check the net. There are anually several of those sort of contests. I don't think the required age is always 16+. They sometimes are hard to find tough. I really could use the prize money now. I just ordered a figure case 40 euro. Place for 80 figures + about 3 larger things. My parents will kill me if they find out.

I am currently more busy working on my diorama than producing cartoons for contests but I may try in the future. And I will look out for your absence from the forum after your parents ground you.

Nah they won't ground me. I just need to find a holiday job - wich is hard because i still got school work to do now. Stupid school. Paper in august and then judging in september...

Ok, the contest is back up so i am adding a bit to this thread. Searching for some entry's for this year. Ok this is what i have got so far:  My mom didn't get the one with the turtle.. (failure?)  Should find 3 more, unless the turtle really isn't good enough. |

Took me a lot of time to just came up with some ideas... I am not to good in gags even tough i am so fond of cartoons. Witouth using any text.. that is just making it extra hard.. But here are the last ones i came up with. Not entirely happy yet with the coloured version.. Should try to tune it up witouth wasting another drawing..

I really like the third one from your first post. Did you mean to make a cartoon of the costa concordia? The captain presumably was fooling around with a woman when the accident happened. A sinking ship, an Italian moustache and a blow-up doll... striking resemblance
