Would this be a good 700 points tournament list?:

Thranduil with armor and cloak
11 Mirkwood Rangers

Galadhrim Stormcaller
4 Wood Elf Sentinels
6 Noldorin Exiles with Wood Elf Spears
2 Noldorin Exiles with elven blades

Gildor Inglorion
4 Noldorin Exiles with Elf Bows
6 Noldorin Exiles with Wood Elf Spears
2 Noldorin Exiles with elven blades

Scenario's are:
Reconnaitre
Lords of Battle
Scenario X (mystery scenario)

My only concern would be that's it's only 3 warbands at 700. I know Elves are low numbers but they die easily too. I just played against an Elven 300 point army that was 2 Warbands against my 3 Goblin Warbands. It was a slaughter of the Elves

The problem is that if I want 4 full warbands, I'll not be able to use any sentinels:
48x10(wood elf with 8"movement and throwing daggers/bow)=480.
60(stormcaller)x4=240.
That would allready make my list 720 points, and then I don't have any real commanders and no sentinels.

Makes sense. May I ask why you chose Thranduil over Leggy or Tauriel? I know his crown is lovely just trying to get into what exactly you're thinking here in terms of strategy

Why not Legolas?: I think the crown, armor and an elven cloak are way better than a fate point and Legolas' shooting rule, even more because I already have 19 warriors with bows.
Why not Tauriel?: I don't think she will do enough damage to equal both an aura of dismay and a nature's wrath, but I may be wrong. The fact that the new Thranduil looks like an absolute boss of course also has its effect on my choice :-D

Legolas is a game changer. And I love tauriel, she doesnt tend to let me down. Now people have figured out Thranduil, he has become a one trick pony. If he fails his nature's wrath then you might aswell remove him off the table. The aura of dismay is nice but a handy sap will etc will soon remove that issue 8)
It is personal preference though, all 3 work really well.

Well the idea is to have Thranduil cast his Nature's Wrath when the enemy charges so my rangers do as much damage as possible, while my Noldorin Exiles flank and capture objectives

If your opponent is clever though he'll put the model with the most will points near thranduil to easily resist the spell.
I've lost count of how many times one of my heroes has been trapped only to be saved by a legolas autoshot.

Really? My Legolas always tends to miss 2 of his 3 normal shots or tends to fail to wound with his autoshot. Where lies Tauriel's strenght by the way(I only briefly saw her stats).

Tauriel is a combat beast. She is at her best surrounded by enemies. Especially when she gets 8 attacks

That sounds good  . Might be usefull to get off some devastating herioc combats. Not sure if I prefer her over Thranduil though.

As Southy aid earlier, Thranduil, Leggy, and Tauriel are all equally as potent as the other, it just a matter preference as to who you wan't to field.

That said, Gildor and the stormcaller are not great choices for heroes to be used with Thranduil. I'd go for a Galadhrim Knight captain instead of the stormcaller if I were you, that way you get some hitting power / a relatively good defence hero. However Rumil and Haldir are also great choices just for the extra might. I think your numbers are good for 700pts.

It is the SBG slang fir the part of Legolas's 'deadly shot' rule that allows him to auto hit anything he can see - even though he still needs to roll to wound it is still a very effective way of removing all sorts of models from behind enemy lines.

Im guessing this is a sourcebook update since the ROTK manual I currently use for Legolas?

I'm not sure that list is legal. Gildor can upgrade wood elves to exiles, but those exiles belong in the Rivendell list, they can't be led by non-Rivendell heroes...unless this was FAQ'd somewhere?

In the FP Sourcebook Errata, Gildor can have Wood Elves in his warband and can upgrade "any number of Wood Elf Warriors in your force" to Noldorian Exiles.

why nog 30 wood elf rangers
tandruil bow+cloak
legolas+cloak
tauriël

with this list I should use legolas with the rangers
and change the stormcaller for tandruil (lotrien and mirkwood list)
then you have a better list I think

Yes, I know that's the wording, but there aren't any Noldor in Mirkwood, so they'd have to be led by a Rivendell hero.

As long as your army has Gildor in it, any wood elves can be upgraded to Exiles which means if you ally in Gildor from Rivendell to a Mirkwood army, all the other wood elves can become exiles.
