I’ve been trying to think of a way of fitting Beorn into a 500 point force and I came up with the idea of using Warriors of Rohan as woodsman. Does this look like it might stand any chance at all?

500 points, 27 models, 11 Throwing Spears, 7 Might

Beorn is expensive for this points level so you're really going to have to use him effectively. He has a good amount of will and resistance to magic so spellcasters won't be a huge problem. What you have to watch out for though is his beserk special rule in Bear form and your enemy tying him up by exploiting that.
