Just decided to dig back into this, I've played Dwarfs since... 2006, I need a... drastic change... so pajama party it is!

A few questions first - Gildor's ability to upgrade Wood Elves to move 8", would it viable to make multiple warbands even if other heroes only move 6"? This could lead to an easier strategic repositioning while drawing the enemy out of the way and not being too disadvantaged when enemy cavalry or flyers are coming your way fast.

Other than that, at 500 pts and 750 pts, what should I prioritize?
Is a banner (or more than 1) required? Is a War Horn necessary?

I'm thinking I want Gildor with a warband of Exiles and Rumil with a Sentinel, wood elves with spears, some with bows and spears? and maybe an elven blade or two mixed in.. and if I were to add a war horn it'd be there, other than that, Thranduil for 3rd warband of course.

So let me draft this up and see what I can come up with, and you guys let me know if I'm on the right track. I face primarily Goblins, Urukhais and Harad - might be facing thorin's dwarfs and such, maybe Mordor.
