I have an army mainly of High (EDITED) Elves, with a small Grey Company contingent. Who would make good allies for both of these?

What kind of elves, and does theme matter to you?

High Elves, as it says in the title, and no, theme doesn't really matter to me.

I'd make use of Gildor and take some Noldorin Exiles. You need something snazzy, and the extra move and equipment is really useful.

Agree with Gothmog. Probably the most natural non-elven ally would be Gondor. I guess I'm not sure what you're looking for, if you don't care about theme or have a hankering for particular army because of how it looks. If you're looking for effectiveness, probably anything will be effective, even Treebeard with a couple of Ents, or some Eagles.

Erkenbrand definitely.
Also Grimbold, maybe Eowyn.

Get some outriders too, especially on foot.

Would i need outriders with rangers and elves?
I have 12 WoR, 6 RoR and Eomer.

Everyone would benefit from Erkenbrand's horn, and the higher fight would really help for the RoR

Yeah, you want 4 WoR w/ shields, 4 WoR w/ thrwng spears & 4 outriders on foot per warband.

An Outrider is the same pts as a WoR with bow, has identical stats but better shoot value. You should always take them over WoR w/ bows.

As well as Erk, Grimbold is good for giving you some strength 4 warriors which a Good army really needs.

Maybea few, but I'm going for Rohan predominantly for cheap troops, so keeping the pointsas low as I can will always be best I guess.

Cheap troops? an Outrider on foot is less pts than a WoR w shield & throwing spears. Very cheap in pts.

And Grimbold's lot are only 1pt more than regular Rohan dudes, cheaper than your elves.

Yes, but I need to still keep them as cheap as possible, as for the difference between a warband of WoR and a warband of helmingas is 12 pts, which I could get almost another 2 men for otherwise.

I might take a few as elites.

Gondor is good too, as they are still much cheaper than your elves and have high defence. It depends if you want the defence or not.

Helmingas are technically elite, but are cheaper and better value than your elves imo.

If you're facing D6, it's worth it, you kill twice as easily. Assuming they win their fights, a warband of Helmingas gets 4 kills, whereas 14 WoR get 2.3
