2 ranks of elves. One set with bows, one set with spears. Seeing as only one model can climb a ladder when it's raised, you'll be outnumbering them and should have no problem killing them all. Max bows and spears.

What Southerndunedain said.

How many points does your opponent have? I believe I read in a whitedwarf a long time ago the attacker should have 3x your points, but 750 vs 2250 sounds a bit unfair to me :P

I'de give the attacker at least double the points, or more than just 1/3 more points. Double would probably be the most you could do and be fair. Though with elves defending x3 the points might be pretty fair, cause elves are fantastic at defending castles.

Because of the elven stats, they are the best at defending castles. Their high fight and above average shooting capabilities make them superb! The shooting will cost the enemy dearly especially if there is a lot of d4-5 enemy troops. As well their heroes can take on all comers and hold out on their own for a turn or two if need be. As well don't forget their awesome courage, with it they have a lot of staying power and can easily repell terror causing enemies.
I know elves seem as if they naturally belong in a forest, but honestly in this game they belong behind a defensible barrier. Mowing down the hoards of the enemy :D

Personally I would get some galahadrim elves then Haldir. After ally onto Rohan and get Grimbold (since his Hellminlas are awesome) then get men of rohan with throwing spears and finally mass the Rohan Royal Guard with what ever points you have left.

That should make your opponent tremble in fear!
