you dont need anything unexpected. just aquire some goblins (including heroes) and a nazgul, then fight! (you might want to get a few orcs for you nazgul to lead)

Welcome! Shadowswarm makes the point for the starting- get goblins, get heroes to lead them, add a wraith- viola! Instant army.

Is there anything in particular that you would like advice with?

It depends on what you want them to do. If you want a spellcaster, you'll take the Undying or one of the others with 14 will that aren't in the Fallen Realms book. If you want a fighter, you might want the KoU or even Khamul.

The Witch-king can also be very effective in close combat if you give him the Crown of Morgul and max his stats.

if you are taking the witch king as a combat wraith then you may as well give him a fell beast instead of the crown.

The crown has ever been worth its points for me. It is much easier to down the fell beast than the crown atop his head.

However, the FB gives basically the same base upgrade, but also Knockdown, 6Str and 12" movement.

Hope you had fun! Sorry about the loss, but I'm sure you'll get the hang of it with practice. Which scenario did you play?
