ok i have started to get the hang of the rules for sbg but i would like to get some ideas for a proper points game army.
i would really be happy with any ideas or advice you can give. i do not care about legions of middle earth for this army

models i have so far:
30 uruk hai scouts(8 no upgrade, 11 bow, 9 shield)
lurtz
sharku on warg
6 warg riders

I suggest getting some uruk-hai warriors,
also a captain with heavy armor and shield works better for a hero than lurtz
(3 might can be very tempting but def 5 is to low for a hero)

I would go for 400pts rather than 500pts. With 400pts you can get Lurtz, Sharku, twenty-four Uruk-hai Scouts, and all the Warg Riders. Such an army should work pretty well.

cool, ok so thats fine, anything else that i could get apart from warriors and a captain to improve this army

Crossbows are really useful, and personally I'm still terrified when my opponent fields them. Other than that though, there's nothing I'd especially recommend. There's Berserkers, Saruman, an Isengard Troll, and a few other models, but I'll let you decide which of those is best for you.
