Hey guys

I'm thinking of making a formation of Iron Guard for my WOTR dwarf army. Are they any good? I've seen the stats, I was just wondering if any players have had positive experience with them in a game, and how they should be used.

Iron Guard aren't too bad, but in the vast majority of circumstances Khazad Guard are better. It really is that simple.

So Khazad guard are ebtetr but if you play only for fun (not only win) you must take what you like.

I wouldnt even bother getting that many iron gurad, wotr is so imbalanced and not nearly as fun as sbg.
now its fun to play (i play it), but i would invest so much to get some companies of iron guard and what not

Unless you come up against D 3 enemies and lots of them, as well as getting in range to throw weapons and then charge a lot of the time, the only reason to get them over Khazad Guard is if you prefer the models. That being said, I'm hopefully getting my second company of Iron Guard in a trade soon, so I'll have the choice. Then again, my girlfriend plays Wood Elf heavy, so...
