Okay, so I don't know if this is the place to put it, and if it's not, could a ringwraith please move it?

However, I have devised a 750 mordor list, which incorporates some pretty nasty beasties.

Ringwraith w/ Full, Fellbeast [160]

Shagrat w/ Shield [55]

Orc Warriors (10) w/ Bows [60]

Orc Warriors (10) w/ Spears [60]

Orc Warriors (10) w/ Shields [60]

Mordor Uruk-hai (25) w/ Shields, Banner [255]

Mordor Troll [100]

750

I like that throughout a large portion of this list, my D is 5 or more. Of course, those orcs are just for supporting my Mordor uruk-hai while they chop away.

Thoughts?

First off shagrat with shield is 60 points so you are 5 points over. I would swap all the shields on the orcs to spears as they should be supporting the uruks anyway. I would then drop the banner from the uruk and upgrade your ring wraith to a named one such as khamul or the shadowlord, the second one would be great for protecting you low defense orcs. You could get the Dark Marshall for the banner effect if you want as well. Your numbers are quite low for a 750 point list so I would be tempted to drop the troll and boost you numbers by adding more archers, but if not then I think you should also use the remaining points from dropping the banner to give the orcs with bows spears as well so that they can be more useful in battle when needed.

Another point is that the uruks wont really need the shields unless you are fighting alot of S4 opponents as the jump from d4 to 5 makes no difference for S3. THough it does offer extra protection against s2 bows, so it depends who you are playing against.

Overall I think more spears is important as you next to no support, and getting a named wraith will get you more bang for your buck.

If he dosen't take shields, he's going to get hurt a lot by S2 bows. As for everything else, I don't know if mordor uruks work so well as a front line troop. Dropping the troll and swapping them for black guard could make a big difference. That's what I'd do anyway. I agree with getting a named wraith. The undying would be a good choice or perhaps Khamul or the Dark Marshal (you need a banner after dropping it).

Ah yes, I did add that bit about s2 bows almost immediately after submitting, though as i said depends on who you play. Against elves the extra defense is useless.
As spuds said Black Guard could be a nice addition.

Never take a budget wraith with full power for only 10 points more you have a fantastic rule from a named nazgul. And I agree to drop the mordor uruks and take morannon orcs or black guard they are much better.

Are you aware that Mordor Ururks comes i blister packs of 3? Because right now you need 12 blister packs because at best 2/3 of the pack may have shields.

In the Mordor sourcebook. There's also a few on the GW website.

You could try with some uruk scouts but I have heard it's prettey hard. Good luck though.

I'd drop the troll and spend 100 pts on more orcs with spears and maybe a few more bows. You're going to want about 50 orcs to support your Uruk-hai.

That is a large problem with internet and playing styles but I will put on some tips and if anybody doesn't agree just say it but these tips are for tournament playing and not for friendly games.

- Ringwraith are fun on fell beast I agree but they are not good. A ringwraith only has 1 wound and 2 fate and on a fell beast it is getting shot to death. Also budget wraith are usefull if you want one with just some extra will to cast spells but with full power it is not usefull because named ringrwaiths are much better for only 10 points more. If you really want a ringrwaith on fellbeast just take the shadow lord his special rule makes him survive.

This is the shadowlord: http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catal ... rod1360002

- Orcs with bows are not the best option in a mordor list. If you take them use them with spear and bow but if you don't just take orc trackers with or without warg much better.

- Your list doesn't have enough spears you have 36 models for combat and only 10 spear you really need more spears to get some real fighting done.

- Mordor uruk's are the least succesfull elite unit in a mordor list. I agree that the models are the coolest but black guard/numenorian/morannons are much better with their defence of 6.

- A mordor troll is not very usefull. It looks strong with fight/strength/defence 7 but it hasn't got any will so it will get transfixed and then he can't do anything. So that's why most competive mordor player don't take trolls.

Know just decide wich elite warriors you like more and take them but don't take 25 just take 20 or something because 25 is a little bit overtopped.

No such thing. Many alternatives work equally well, it depends what you do with them.

I basically agree with all that, except that nazgul on fellbeast are not good. They are good but you have to know how to play them, it also depends on the other person army (facing both saruman and legolas makes it harder). Death and glory over on TLA plays and all fellbeast list at 700 points and does very well with it. But as whafrog said there will be no unanimous decision, many alternates work, it all comes down to what you do with it.

Yeah but death and glory has the shadow lord on his list otherwise he will be shot to death with only fell beast.

Actually he doesnt, he used Kahmul, Knight of Umbar, Dark marshall, and betrayer this year. Though Undying could be a good option as well. No need for Shadowlord as you are in combat 2nd turn with an all wraith army, though shadowlord is best for most armies as pall of night is great.

I don't play tournaments at all. I agree with Hero of Gondor in most respects. You must understand a Mordor army is by and large a horde. It requires large numbers of orcs. Fighting one on one with any Mordor elite against elves and dwarves will result in defeat. You need some elite troops, a giant monster (in this case you've chosen a wraith on fell beast) and lots and lots of orcs to back them up.
