So I was thinking of starting an Arnor army obviously the ruin of Arnor Sourcebook is a must have
So Here's what I was thinking of getting

Two Boxes of Ranger of Middle Earth
Arathorn and Halbard
8 Warriors of Arnor

Also I was wondering if you can take Grey Company with Aragorn with this army.

All comments are appreciated, Cheers 8)

That's not actually an Arnor list, the Arnor list doesn't include Arathorn or Halbarad. The Arnor army list is set right before Arnor was destroyed at the Battle of Fornost, so a long time before either Arathorn or Halabarad was born. Arathorn and Halabard are in the Grey Company list, which also includes Aragorn by the way. If you get the Ruin of Arnor sourcebook you'll be able to see all this for yourself.

Ah right so that'd be more suited to the Grey Company then? Sorry not fully checked up I was glancing over the books at my local game store earlier. So does that look any good for a Grey Company excluding the warriors of Arnor?

Not really, the Grey Company is a unique list; there is no Bow Limit but you must take a Ranger of the North or a Dunadan for every four Rangers you take.

It depends on whether you want an Arnor force or a Grey Company force.

Just to give you an idea, an Arnor force is more "traditional" in play, in that you'll be limited to 33% bows. The warriors have high defence and come with built-in spear support, which can be handy. They have better than average fight but worse than average courage (as far as average "Good" models go). The theme is appropriate for any time in the first half of the 3rd age.

Grey Company is quite different, with low defence, but every model can shoot (if you take the required apportions of one Ranger of the North for every 4 Rangers of Arnor). The theme is appropriate for any time after the fall of Arnor. GC can be quite tedious to play against, because the first tactic people tend to latch on to is running forward within shooting range, then backing up every turn. Don't be surprised if your opponent runs out and confronts you with the Shadowlord the very next game :)

GC is fun to play in balanced scenarios, as allies (say, with Gondor), and if you're not afraid to get them dirty with some hand-to-hand combat.
