I'm Going to a Doubles tournament next week with a mate. It's 300 points per Player / 600 per alliance. We decided to go for a Helms Deep theme since my mate likes Rohan, and I figured it would be a good excuse to paint my elves. These our our lists. Please bear in mind though that it's a 4 round tournament, but 2 of the 4 games will be split rounds (ie will be playing on a different table to our team mate.) In these 1v1 rounds one team chosses the match up whilst the other chooses what scenario will be played. So with this in mind, both of our lists need to able to competently play a 1v1 300 point game. Whilst still being able to tag team in the 2v2 rounds. Elven List Legolas, Prince of Mirkwood w/ Armour and Horse Haldir, The Defender of Helms Deep 3 Galadhrim Warriors w/ Elven blade 4 Galadhrim Warriors w/ Elven Bow 4 Galadhrim Warriors w/ Shield and Spear 2 Galadhrim Warriors w/ Spear Men List Théoden, King of Rohan w/ Horse, Heavy armour and Shield 2 Rohan Royal Guard w/ Horse and Throwing Spear 2 Rohan Royal Guard w/ Horse 2 Rohan Royal Guard w/ Throwing spear 1 Rohan Royal Guard w/ no additional equipment 4 Warriors of Rohan w/ Shield 4 Warriors of Rohan w/ Shield and Throwing Spear 7 Warriors of Rohan w/ Bow |

Hmm, two big heroes for just 13 elves is not that good, you'll be outnumbered very fast. I quite like the rohan list, but that depends on the types of battle you're going to play. |

Agreed drop Haldir and get some more elves. After what i recall he ain´t that good. And perhaps get some cavalry. Either Galadhrim knights or riders of Rohan. |

Are you playing with LoME? If not, drop Haldir to get more elves. If so, drop Legolas to get more elves. |

I had a feeling that was going to be the general consensus. Model count still worries me, but I do like a challenge so hope fully I'll be able to out play my opponents I'm more inclined to drop Legolas then Haldir. The New Haldir has some new rules that will come into effect in the tag team Matches. The Auto pass courage will be invaluable in the tag games ecspeciall since one is reduce enemy to Quarter. But the main reason I've thrown in legolas is because I only have the old school Galadhrim Elves and I don't have many of them. (I have another 2 but their bowmen) But I am Walking into the tournament with an advantage. I wrote all of the scenarios for the tourny so I know how they work and what to do in them. Anyone else have any tips or suggestions? *edit* And in answer to an Earlier Question yes Legions Legal. |

Hmm... Not sure about all that stuff, I would defenitly drop Legolas when you play LoME and add more elves or... Thought about another ally ? |

I agree that they both lack troops. I would say you need more cavalry in the Rohan list and perhaps take a cheaper hero. Cavalry in the first is not an issue but drop Legolas instead of Haldir as Haldir is more suited in this points' level and then get more elves. |
