There are a couple things wrong with this army. First of all as Azrael mentioned you can't have two of the same named hero, you also can't ally Arwen with King Ellesar. You also have way too many bows. I don't really understand what you mean by must warriors but if I am correct there are some warriors you must have and in addition to those you can take five hundred points worth of models. Which one are the must warriors as you army is way over five hundred points. Other than that you have a rather interesting army. I wouldn't take two banners as the effects don't stack. I would also suggest taking some normal warriors as you'll be low in numbers if you take too many elites. |

Nup. And I wouldn't take Aragorn in 500 points ever really. |

Arwen can team up with Aragorn in his ranger form, but not when he is king. Armies from the tower of ecthelion cannot ally with any elf lists at all. |

i really want to see this scenario because i dont get you're way of composing heroes --" the weirdest thing is that you say a 500 point battle but aragorn as a king is something around 260 points already ?? no offence i just don't get it XD Gretzz |

He's trying to figure out the points for certain models. I doubt there is a scenario. He has another thread asking for everybody's favorite fellowship group, "with points" of course. |

It's all in the LoME mate. That's where all the allying restrictions come in. |

The OR and mini rulebooks just listed everything as either Good or Evil and gave no significant restrictions on building your armies from either of those big pools. The Legions of Middle Earth ( LoME ) book separated those two sides into several smaller "lists" and then set up specific rules on how forces would be made from those lists and how you may ally lists. This got rid of a lot of cheesy forces of people just selecting best-of-the-best warriors and heroes without regard for theme, got some control around time periods mixing and made the armies that were played far closer to what you could expect from Tolkien's work (interpreted by the people that brought you 40K and WH of course ) You don't need LoME to play, and if you and some friends or family are all playing the same off of the base rule sets and maybe some scenarios in the journey books then don't worry about it. But if you plan on playing against anyone at a local GW or independent game store, hobby club, etc. then most of them will assume you are following LoME rules when building your force. Due to the cost and the fact that I much rather put my money to models than rule sets, I ddn't get the LoME book for a very long time, but I did borrow it from a friend for a while and then referenced it often when we got together (my notes could have almost published the book again ) and when I had a chance I picked it up and was very happy I did so. |

Neither do I. It's not essential when playing friendly games but many tournaments have its restrictions. |
