Hi,

After falling in love with Perry Miniatures 'Agincourt to Orleans' range, I've decided to build an English Compangnie for use in LotR:SBG. While there are various historical profiles floating around on the net, I would like to make the initial 500 points work as proxies for a regular SBG faction.

I'm planning on using the Fiefdoms as a base list, as the Axemen of Losarnach seem the best way to approximate a man-at-arms armed with a halberd.

Following is a proposed list. Comments would be appreciated.

Heroes:
Company Captain (Captain of Dol Amroth) on foot w/shield
Aide (Captain of Dol Amroth) mounted with lance and shield

Warriors:
8 Men-at-Arms (Knights of Dol Amroth) on foot w/shield
12 Men-at-Arms (Axemen of Losarnach)
12 Archers (Rangers)
1 Company Standardbearer (Axeman with banner)
3 Mounted Men-at-Arms (Knights of Dol Amroth)

Well I´ll the first one to comment,

Well the army is well balanced (has max bows etc.)
(Although I haven´t played with Fiefdoms at all.)

But I don´t know whether the Banner i so necessary as for those points you could get two more Knights on horses.... and numbers do count a lot when you play with an elite force

Perhaps a hero of the fiefdoms like: Forlong the fat, Prince Imrahil or Angbor the fearless

I'm not sure if that is legal as you don't have a hero from the grey company but I don't know if rangers are in the Fiefdoms army list.

It is legal. The fiefdoms can take Rangers.

As for the army, it looks good: well balanced, good archers, etc. How many points is this by the way? I'm guessing 500pts...
