Hello,

Maybe it's a rather unusual number, but here I have a 850pts wood elves army where I'd like to have some tips and tricks for. And maybe what I should change, and what I shouldn't,
Here goes.

------
Thranduil.

10 Wood elf warriors with elf bows.
1 Wood elf warrior with a Banner.

1 Wood elf Sentinel.
-------
Legolas with armour.

11 Wood elf warriors with spears and throwing daggers.
1 Wood elf Sentinels.
-------
Stormcaller.

3 Wood elf warriors with spears.
8 Wood elf warriors with elven blades, 7 of them with throwing daggers.
-------
Thorin's Company.
-------
Gandalf the Grey.

Bombur.
-------

I hope you can look at it and give me the critics named above.

Greetings.

Turwaitheon.

I'm no expert on mirkwood (used to rivendell)

But you have too few men for an 850 pts game

Maybe consider dropping gandalf for another warband. If you want a magical hero to lead it, may I suggest Cirdan?

About the sentinels, see what Whafrog said here: viewtopic.php?f=37&t=24524

Hop this helps

Actually, I would disagree about the too few men- it is a hero-heavy force, which can be quite effective given the circumstances.

I think it would be interesting to run- merely don't let yourself get shot, pick your fights wisely, and use your heroes to neutralize theirs and their monsters.

Best of luck, and belatedly, welcome to the One Ring!

I dunno, i'd probably agree in dropping Gandalf for another warband/more of Thorin's company.

This aren't 850 points, these are 709 points,
i think this is a good list, you've got bofur to restore te will of the stormcaller and sometimes gandalf's will
and tandruil is awesome.
I would switch the archers from tandruils warband for 10 woodelves with spear from legolas and put in the warband from legolas archers.

This will be bether.

@LordElrond: I looked at Whafrog's posts but I couldn't find something about Sentinels. Could you point it out for me, where I have to look? Would be great.

@Valamir: Thank you and thank you for welcoming me.

@SuicidalMarsbar:Maybe I'll do that, but some magical assistance is very good, especially in the circumstance of Bombur restoring Gandalf's Will and then If neceserry Gandalf restoring The Stormcaller's will.

@Azog: About the points, naah, I've recounted it myself and I've got 844 Pts total, maybe you were mistaken by some pts values? And about the father and son warbands, I plan to put them very close to eachother, For the spear support mostly.

Till now, thank you for the tips.
I will leave the topic open for a while (if that is possible to say) and I will notice it when I'm satisfied with the info. I've received, then I will close it by words in the topic name.

May the Valar, or Morgoth/Melkor, or Sauron be with you.

Turwaitheon.
