I'd like to make an army of Dragon hunters
To fit in with a last stand sort of thing, i don't want to many models but rather a small group.
Can anyone help me? I'm looking to use some light archers like rangers and warriors of rohan with bows. Also some "Huscarls" (knights) and "Thanes" (nobles). Who can guess which game i have been playing lately? Oh and no cavalry

Is this for WotR or for SBG?

Also, are you looking for a force that would face only a single Dragon and no supporting models on the opponent side, or perhaps multiple Dragons, or are you up against a well rounded army and want a team that will specialize in taking out a Dragon?

Its just a small force facing off against a 350pts dragon for SBG.
I'd like to make the force 250pts so the dragon has an advantage.

So you want it to be modeled after Skyrim, eh? I would say Fellowship Boromir with some Rangers of Gondor. Maybe (dare I say it) take along some Blackroot Vale Archers. Or maybe Captain Boromir with shield with some Guardians of the Fountain Court or Citadel Guards. The first would rely on shooting it before it got to ya (not very reliable), while the second would rely on getting close to it fast, especially if it has Magic and/or Fire Breath. Either way, Boromir's 6 might ought to come in handy.

If you're playing against a Dragon and giving yourself a 100 point penalty then your dragon player needs to take a look at his strategy. Well played at equal points should be enough of a challenge.

I agree with Beowulf, Dragons are tough beasts to kill, especially when upgraded! GL

Wood elves seem like a decent choice. Galadriel gives you relatively cheap access to blinding light to shut down fiery breath, and the elves have two handed weapons to help wound the Dragon. There isn't a lot of point to paying for armor against a S7 dragon, so D3 elves seem fine.
