Love the theme :)

Not sure how well it would do on the table though... I would definitely take at least one more hero - perhaps use Madril as Mablung to keep it themed? A generic Captain could work as well. The Osgiliath vets are cool as well, but you if you're using Faramir to lead your cavalry (is he mounted? I don't have the stats for the new one so keep that in mind...) they probably won't be able to benefit from the Fight value boost.

Some rangers wouldn't be out of place either and would be helpful for their archery and supporting ability if given spears.

Agreed, maybe replacing the WoMT with bows for rangers with spears in the Ithilien contingent...

Yes may they have lower armour but if you keep them only for shooting....

I don't know FKoI rules might just go for normal faramir with Madril to get a bit more might which is what a Gondor army generally specialises in. I would also drop the banner in favour of swapping the womt archers out for rangers with spears. Other than that, I like the list, and you've done a good job in making a nicely themed army that does well on the table. 8)

I used FKoI recently and was pretty pleased. He's like Imrahil with a bit lower fight, and the special rule was very handy, as were the extra stats holding off a wraith's spell and staying alive longer. I plan to use him again.

What exactly is his special rule? I found the pdf of it on the GW website, but it's in japanese. I understand if you can't because of copyright or whatever.

Bigger standfast (think Imrahil), similar banner effect on the troops he's usually with...

He's more expensive than Imrahil though, and his stats aren't quite as good. I think it's a case of GW (once again) tying point cost to monetary cost. Imrahil only affects metal figures. Faramir affects the cheap plastic kits.

So hang on Faramir in huge, armoured horse mode gives his benefit to Rangers? That makes no sense, if he gives it to WoMT then still.

Banner plus extended Stand fast. Definitly worth it then
