I'm in Missoula, stop on by. I would be willing to drive a bit, also. Where are you in WA?

I know there used to be a scene in Seattle. My buddy's dad lives there so when he would visit for the summers he friends that would play. I think there were even some tournaments, but that was 5 or 6 years ago. in a city that size you should be able to find some folks that play.

Cheers!

Really actually a surprise because I am moving to Missoula in August. What armies do you play?

Sorry for the delay I missed you reply initially!

I have Rohan, Mordor, Angmar, Last Alliance and some Uruk-hai scouts for an Amon-hen list. I have a bunch of other random stuff also (some goblins, fellowship, ents, etc).

We will have to meet up after you move out. I have found one other dedicated player in the area so far.

Well Ill be in by August 26th, What other wargames are played in the area? I only found the game shop in town so I was only going to bring my 40k stuff.

Looks like I have a reason to bring my Gondorians and Uruk-Hai

I know there are groups that play Infinity, Warmachine and Bolt Action. Apparently there are about 100 40k players in the area.

Considering the location and population size, I would say Missoula and the Bitteroot Valley has a pretty sizable wargaming foundation. The trick is get connected with all the small groups since there isn't much of a larger body like the GBHL or DCHL around, for any platform actually.

Do you have any suggestions for that? Where do you play, just at home?

Are there folks that play over there? I don't know much about the Spokane scene.

I'm in Portland and would be happy to meet somewhere for a game if anyone finds themselves nearby.

I am in Corvallis, a couple hours south of Portland. We should meet up sometime! There's a couple other guys I've talked to in Oregon who play to!

I play, and am looking to try to get a group off the ground. Ring of Gyges and I play fairly regularly (at least until my December schedule went to heck). I'm trying to garner interest for a tournament / casual game day in Portland, OR in mid-January 2017. Reply to this thread if interested.

Totally. I've been in touch with Ring and we were going to get together for a game till the weather went to hell but yeah I'd definitely be up for that. I've been in touch with a couple other folks as well who might be interested.

Cool - thanks. So - would Sat, Jan 14 work for you? I'll exercise some date flexibility, if it means better attendance. Would it just be you, or would others be joining. Maybe email me at patandbrit@gmail.com, and we can work out additional details. Thanks!

Cool. Would Sat, Jan 14 work for you? Thinking likely location to be Guardian Games. But I can be flexible with date, if it means a better turnout. Maybe email me at patandbrit@gmail.com and we can work out details. Curious how confident you can get a couple of more folks. If we could get 6 or more, that'd be a pretty great starting point.

Cool will do. I dunno if anyone else could make it or not but I'll see! It'd be fun to get a little big of a group.

McMenamin's Kennedy School is hosting a JRR Tolkien birthday party, with Hobbit themed food, films and music.

Ring of Gyges and I will be setting up a table to do a bit of Hobbit / Lord of the Rings Strategy Battle Gaming. Stop by if you're interested!

Hi guys,

I'm in the Corvallis area, and would be interested in joining in. I'm actually pretty excited by the prospect, I didn't know anyone in the area still played!

polywags is also in Corvallis - if you haven't connected with him, I expect he'll see your post and reach out to you.

Ring of Gyges (http://ringofgyges.org/) and I are in Portland, and are trying to round up enough players to start a regular game. It's been slow going so far, but we've had a few bites. We play mostly Friday evenings at Guardian Games, but we won't be there this upcoming Friday, as it's my wedding anniversary.

I expect to try to put together another Saturday game in either February, or maybe early March. Maybe somewhere a bit south of town, like Glimpses? Although Guardian Games has a ton of space, and I think that's the best location to "be seen" in order to try to attract additional players.

My email address is patandbrit@gmail.com. Go ahead and shoot me an email - it's good to start collecting a group of contacts. And if you have any additional contacts, please put them in touch with me as well.

Feel free to send me some email at stephen.gingell@gmail.com anytime you're in Portland and we can set up a game. Pat and I have been meeting most Fridays, but if you're willing to make a trip we could organize something on another schedule.
