Hey everyone, Recently moved up to university in Newcastle, the GW seems to be (predictably) 40k focussed, and all my group from back home have gone their separate ways to study. Anyone in or around the area fancy a game? I can get to anywhere in the vicinity of Newcastle that a student with limited money could forseeably get to. Sunderland/Durham/Middlesbrough would be possible. I'm a bit rusty and only have the One Rulebook, but I'm willing to play to the Hobbit rules as I'm sure they're not too different. Thanks alot. |

Good luck pal and hope you find some players in the area soon! If not, put aside a little cash and hopefully see you at a GBHL tournament next year, or even pop to Stockport for some battles for the channel! Keep it up - GBHL James |

There should be a list of the tournaments currently scheduled for next year somewhere, let me try and find it for you. Be great to have you involved Jamie and I will do a video announcing them when the list is finalised! In the meantime, I hope you find a local player and if not, feel free to make the journey to play us any time, just give us notice |

Beginning to wonder if any players in this area even exist. I just scoured my uni wargames club and not a SINGLE PERSON plays. |

What games do they play? If you have multiple forces, might be worth showing interest in their games with a view to showing them SBG too, letting them use some of your forces to learn the rules. Become friends and go watch the Desolation of Smaug together and drop hints at how cool those models will look and what would they get if they were into SBG… and show them the GBHL Channel so they get an idea of how the game plays and whether it's for them or not! Convert, SBG disciple! |

I'm in Middlesbrough but finding the time to fit a game in is nigh on impossible. You could try sending King Ondoher a pm as he is my opponent when i do get time for a game. He's a good opponent (doesn't notice when i cheat lol) |

Thanks both of you, always to get friendly support from people. Thermo, I may decide to do that actually, infact one of my friends actually suggested I should teach him so I'll look into it in the future. My uni's group tend to be more roleplayers, they've got Dark Heresey, Dungeons and Dragons etc on the go. DMS, sure I remember you saying you hadn't played before somewhere, but maybe that was a while ago, or just me. Either way yeh maybe at some point we can sort something out. Thankfully, I had a second thorough foray in my Newcastle GW yesterday and the manager noticed I was same the guy who had been posting on their FB page looking for players aswell. He said if any came in he would let me know, which he did, and so hopefully I've got a game lined up tomorrow! Never really had that good a experience with local GW's as my home town (Scarborough) relies on a FLGS which has a great atmosphere, but it seems, like everyone in Newcastle, the staff are really nice and helpful. Will probs be posting a list later on today in the relevant section. Looking forward to your Q&A video on Sunday Thermo! |

I'm in Newcastle also and I'm interested in getting the occasional game in. I don't currently have a force for it. I'm in the early stages of getting one together. |
