Just asking if anyone in the Greater Manchester area in the UK, preferably around Bolton are interested in a game of WotR (2,000pts) or SBG (1,000-1,500pts) if you match the description please PM me, thank you. |

Received and replied. Also, NP P.S. As a heads up, I haven't played SBG since Return of the King was the main RB. Well technically I did when I worked for GW, but none of the changed rules came up when teaching. |

I'd be up for SBG, start of with some smaller games and build up, if anyone is keen for that? |

This is looking like we can get some local games going, should be good. Theres me and my 15 yr old son (Im 35, old git who shouold know better) My army is mainly Gobdor for WOTR but my HobbitSBG will mainly be Grey comapny I thnk. My lads is Isengard for WOTR and prob Dwarves for HobbitSBG We are based in Altrincham but can travel within reason. Also I have the realm of battle board and A self made 6x 4 board so can host games also dont know if thats any use or if you guys prefer to meet up at a GW?? Does anyone know of any gaming clubs in greater manchester where ppl meet up in the evenings? As I work and weekends tend to get crammed with family stuff ( Damn that wife of mine!!) LOL |

Definitely, sounds promising! I'm more than happy to host the odd group at mine as not so interested in going into GW and if you're only down the road in Altrincham, I'd be more than happy to pop down when you've got your board ready, if you'll have me!? Don't know any gaming clubs, but hey, I'm guessing this is how these things start! |

Hi, gaming clubs are rare and far between here. Especially for LotR/Hobbit. The closest thing to one is something I started in college a few years ago, but it only lasted a year. GW is the place for me, not to keen on going into other peoples' houses or vice versa, especially on a first term basis. |

If we could maybe get an idea of the amount of interest Id look into finding a community hall or something if theres enough ppl??? One night a week night be a good idea? At the minute theres only you 2 plus me and my lad I can see in this area? I think wed need at least 8 ppl who could contribute and make it worth doing? Also be able to travel to wherever the venue would be... This could be wishfull thinking but Id be up for it. Like I said previously i have a gaming bourd plus the "Realm of Battle" board I could bring along. This would give us the opportubnity to play a map campaign which would be cool. * although someones house is fine by me! |
