I want to start this hobby but before I do need to know that I'll have people to play against.

I'm in the maitland area. Most gaming stores are 20 minutes away, but I can go to the altamonte springs games workshop in the renaissance place plaza. Do any of you frequent that store? If so, when do u usually go?

I was going to direct you to the Orange County Choppas forum but I see you found your way there already. There is a group there that has played LOTR and even ran an excellent Grand Tournament for several years. The local community seems to be waining a little there though. Starting at OCC is a good place to drum up some interest.

You guys have any tips for getting friends to play LoTR SBG with you? Or even finding friends who like it? I'm starting at a brand new school with only one person I know (and he doesn't like geeky stuff). I'm doing the IB program, so hopefully I'll find someone from there willing to play.
