Hi one ring! I been a hardcore lotr fan since then movies came out back when I was a kid. So it was natural I had to try the minis, so I started with the minis this September actually. I just “finished” my first warband and played my first game today at the local GW store. I’m having a lot of fun with this already and I came by this forum and it looks great, with the community and the monthly competitions. So hi! Cheers Cruci |

Welcome aboard the One Ring - can i ask how you found us? It's not that we're trying to keep the place secret, it's more that I'd like to know how new members came across us so we can advertise the place a bit better. |

Thank you for all the warm welcome. I found this forum by stumbling on Dead marches blog, I found Onyx’s blog with his awesome Helm’s Deep and after reading all his post I started googling “lotr painting blog games workshop” or something similar and entered Dead marches blog (awesome painter!). He mentioned one ring painting competition and I was interested what that was, so I found this forum by googling one ring and such =) If I get time/the economy allows me to enter monthly painting competitions as they seem to be a lot of fun! So this forum is like the one ring I see, the more you use it the more you lose yourself! Then the website name is indeed cleverly chosen. |
