Hello Everybody, finally bit the bullet and made an account. I am a returning player thanks to the GBHL guys and its great to know there is still a thriving community for this fantastic system. Always been a big fan of Tolkien's work and with the Hobbit films being released decided to get back into the game.
I am wondering whats the best way to get games in? my local games shop in Aberdeen seams to have a non-existent player base for the system.
Thanks for reading and all the best
Clay

Welcome aboard ! I'm also a returning gamer/player/fan due to J&J @ GBHL. The best way to find players is here on the forum, goto opponent finder and read through, but you will need to travel a bit. Anouther way is to lure players to you! Try hosting a game night w/ food and fun ( u got a game room w/ tons of minis and terrain, right?) Good luck.

Welcome aboard. My only advice is if there is no player base, create one. Run some games with all the terrain and both sides of a battle. Make it as easy as possible for someone to get involved with the game and hopefully it will spark enough interest that they start to buy and paint figures.
You need to be like crack dealer, give them a free taste to get them hooked on the drug of SBG. Good luck!

Aberdeen, Washington state???
I would suggest 300 points. It's manageable, but still a load of fun!

Welcome to the One Ring!
Good luck getting a gaming group together. It's a great system and deserves more attention from the wargaming public. Hopefully others in your area will see it that way too if you show them.
