Hey everybody, my name is Seth. i am a Big Lord of the Rings and Hobbit fan though i haven't read the books yet, Ive tried. so i don't know everything. ive been a veteran of many lord of the rings games infact that is wear i started wargamming. over time my group being mad at games workshop for various reasons went to other games such as war machines and historical games. but out of everything this is the game i often go back to or fantasize getting back into. coming to The One Ring, i hope to rekindle my interest in lord of the rings i honestly don't think ive introduced myself on here before i know ive been on the site every now and then but i haven't been active at all so consider this my official greeting lol

welcome aboard, being mad at GW for prices and other reasons is pretty common i think. (Don't get me started)

Where is the world are you? I'm from Canberra, Australia. Just down the road from Mount Doom

lol thanks, im from the United States, specifically Maryland in the Baltimore-glennburnie gaming area. as for what i have army wise, i have a legitimate Gondor army according to legions, ive played with he new supplements and the Hobbit a little but i wouldn't say its a very good army, im looking into starting either an erebor army or a galadhrim army but im not sure.

I have Gondor and Isengard as the main two forces i collect. But i also have a few Rohan, Elves and Fiefdoms. Oh and a single Mordor warband led by Grishnak to ally with Isengard. Oh and the fellowship, and a few moria goblins. Ok I like collecting!

Like everyone else at the moment I'm now eyeing off dwarves.

But I promised the missus I wouldn't by anything else til i finished painting what i have.

yeah i collected alot aswell most of it is bought from sheer eyecandy or hopes of making something out of it, but it usually ends up collecting dust, im hesitant on doing erebor because id really like to do some mirkwood stuff when they release models for mirkwood which most likely wont be until the next movie. im currently working on a campaign rules set to get my group back into the game since we've been dormant to wargamming and only playing RPG's only problem is finding a way to balance the good and evil forces for an enjoyable game, so far ive limited it to 1 100 point war band with no elite models +a free captain of that race with 20 points allotted for buying war gear. if you want i can PM it to you to see what you think.

Hello and welcome to the One Ring :-)

You will find us a friendly bunch - but watch out for Sid and those teeth :-D

There are plenty of gamers on the site to talk tactics, armies and stuff and if you are a keen painter etc. then why not get involved with one of the latest competitions of the site.
