Hi all,
Just signed up to the site and just wanted to say hello and tell you a bit about myself.
It all started when I bought my son Morgan (11) 'Lego Lord of the Rings' just before Christmas, being a huge fan of Lego and not knowing a lot about the story I thought it would be a great introduction to the tales.
My son absolutely loved it and was enthralled by the storyline, plus it was a bonus as we could play together.I then bought him the films and many happy hours were spent during the Christmas holidays watching the trilogy.

I've been a wargamer and modeller/painter for the last 23 years, mostly playing both types of Warhammer and several other skirmish games,so I decided to invest in a few models so we could both play.
I decided to hit Ebay and due to finding some great deals a few models have turned into 4 forces (Last Alliance,Moria Goblins,Mordor and Minas Tirith)!
The last few weeks have re-ignited my love of painting and terrain making as its a hobby that I can now share with my son,who luckily must have the painting gene inherited :)

This site has been an inspiration to us both over the last few weeks so it only seems right that I sign up just to thank you all and to share our next steps in our combined adventure.

Look forward to talking to you all and sharing our progress with painting and battle reports

Chris and Morgan

Excellent. Welcome aboard. The site is very family friendly so you have no worries in that department.

Hi guys, welcome to the One Ring. It's great that your lad has discovered Tolkien's world and has such a willing guide as yourself.

Enjoy the site and keep us posted on your journeys.

Welcome aboard - I joined here in 2004 because of my Sons. They have both moved on to other things (both at Uni now) but I'm still here.
