Just got back from a multi-academy Tae Kwon Do competition. There were well over two hundred competitors from schools across the state, somehow crammed into a school baseball gym.
It was quite a blast. Unfortunately there were only a dozen competitors in my division (green through purple belts, ages 13-15) but I placed second in sparring and third in patterns.
I think it was important to me, because I gained my confidence back. Last two tournaments I did rather poorly, because I
expected myself to lose. That attitude is out the window now, and I look forward to my next tournament!
My dad caught a couple of my sparring matches on tape, hopefully I can share them here soon, simply for the sake of ya'll watching me get my rear kicked (well, not really.)
